The AvaTerra name was inspired by the merging of the words for water and earth – two aspects both important in climate action and human flourishment.
Ava is the guardian of waters, a cognate name of a female divinity from millennia ago. Water signifies continuous flow, transformation, and creation. We aspire to advise our clients to create new ideas, innovate, and transform, representing the qualities of water.
Terra is the Latin word for earth. Earth signifies the notion of strength, stability, and formation. We advise clients using strong evidence, analysis, and durable knowledge, representing the qualities of earth.
The Global part of our name signifies connectedness and that which we all share to both water and earth. Global represents both the global distribution of our team as well as our global reach to form alliances and support clients all around the world.
